20 participants visited Singapore Press Holdings’ (SPH) Information Resource Centre (IRC) on Wednesday, 2 Mar 2016.

After a warm introduction by Head Librarian and Vice President of the IRC, participants were brought to a tour to several offices or studios within the SPH’s media business, including AsiaOne, STOMP, Razor, SPH Radio and Straits Times.

IRC was the last stop of the tour and participants were given an overview of its role, operations and challenges. During the tea break, Mr Idris discussed learning points with the participants, covering topics on maintaining a balance between speedy delivery and accuracy of information, whether content or curation is king, managing media where SPH build on the news given by readers.
