Librarian / Senior Assistant Manager, Digital Technology and Analytics
NTU Library, under the Office of Information, Knowledge and Library Services (OIKLS), provides essential learning, research, and collaborative environments that support the University community. We are seeking an experienced and forward-looking Librarian / Senior Assistant Manager to strengthen the Library’s data, analytics, and AI capabilities to improve operational efficiency and user experience.
Job Responsibilities
- Develop, enhance, and maintain library data models, dashboards, data visualisations, and data integration pipelines.
- Work with library stakeholders to understand business requirements, assess data needs, and deliver practical analytics solutions.
- Support the review, improvement, and maintenance of analytics platforms and related data environments, including Qlik Sense, Denodo, Alma Analytics, and other relevant systems.
- Evaluate new analytics tools, platform features, and data visualisation approaches for possible adoption.
- Apply emerging technologies, including AI workflows, AI agents, and related tools, to improve library analytics, operational efficiency, and user experience.
- Support staff adoption of dashboards, data tools, and technology-enabled solutions through communication, guidance, and training.
Job Requirements
- Recognised degree in a related discipline, such as Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of relevant working experience in data engineering, data analytics, business intelligence, or related areas.
- Proficient in data engineering, ETL/data pipeline development, REST API data sources, SQL, and dashboard/BI development tools such as Qlik Sense, Power BI, Tableau, or similar.
- Programming or scripting skills, such as Python, for data processing and automation.
Knowledge of AI/LLM concepts, agentic frameworks, RAG pipelines, vector databases, and cloud AI services such as Azure OpenAI or similar would be an advantage. - Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
