NLBA Resource Centre Opening – On 8 July 2011, NLB Academy’s Resource Centre was officially opened. LAS was represented by the Chairs of Website, Training and Publishing. NLBA was previously faced with a challenge of presence as they were relatively hidden on the third floor of Toa Payoh Public Library – with the opening of its resource centre on the ground floor, it becomes more visible to the public and this coincided with its intent to provide training services beyond in-house NLB trainees and invited groups. NLBA has also announce it has successfully attained the Approved Training Organization status from WDA – which enables it to conduct WSQ certifcation courses.
