Discover the memory initiatives from around the world

When Nations Remember will be held on 11 & 12 October 2010 in Singapore. Take part in the conference if you would like to gain new insights into the creation and preservation of memories for the future. The two-day conference is organised by the National Library Singapore, supported by the International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions (IFLA) and the Library Association of Singapore (LAS). This inaugural conference is designed to share and to discuss memory-building initiatives from international and community perspectives.

Learn from renowned international speakers their best practices in the preservation of national memories and memory-building initiatives.

The keynote speaker is Dr Deanna Marcum, Associate Librarian for Library Services, Library of Congress who will talk about how the Library of Congress began to think about ways in which world cultures could be represented in a digital format.
