The Library Association of Singapore (LAS) invites submissions for abstracts in two categories – paper presentations and posters. 

A paper presentation is a lecture-style presentation and should last 15 minutes (excluding Q&A). The presentation should be supplemented with visual, audio and/or other illustrations. 

A poster is a graphic and visual presentation of a research or area of interest. Presenters are given the opportunity to present and discuss their work with conference participants in an informal setting.

Key dates: 

7 Jun – Submission of Abstracts
8 July – Notification of successful candidates
9 September – Selected presenters to submit slides & presentation slides 

Submission Guidelines
 
Proposals should include:

• Title of proposed presentation
• Abstract of proposed presentation (no more than 300 words)
• Name(s) of presenter(s), and their designations
• Employer / affiliated institution
• Contact information (email address, telephone number)
• Short biographical statement of presenter(s) (no more than 100 words)
• Indicate preference for paper presentation or poster session
• All abstracts should relate to this year’s theme Re-Making Libraries and its sub-themes: Innovate, Connect, and Transform.

Please note:

• The expenses of attending the conference will be the responsibility of the presenter(s) of accepted presentations. Conference fees will be waived for one presenter of the accepted presentation.
• All presentations that are presented at the LAS 2019 Conference will be made available online via the LAS website under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 license.
