Call for Papers

Brought to you by the Centre for Academic Information Services CAIS, Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS), the 2nd PERPUN International Conference and Workshop on Value Management for Libraries with a theme Excellence through ROI will provide librarians and information managers with an international forum to discuss and share experiences and insights on ROI

Objectives

• To provide a platform for participants to exchange views and expertise in the area of ROI
• To share experiences in identifying core library services
• To propose models based on best practices to measure library services

Theme

• Session 1: ROI and library governance
• Session 2: ROI : portrayal of library excellence

Important dates for proposal and submissions

Proposals for papers must be submitted by e-mail by 27 April 2012. An acknowledgement will be sent within 2 days upon receipt of the proposal abstract. All paper must be written and delivered in English. The deadline for submitting accepted complete papers is 15 Jun 2012.

Proposals for papers should include:

• Abstract in English of approximately 250 words summarizing the paper
• Speaker’s name, professional affiliation, postal address, telephone numbers, e-mail address
• brief biographical note (qualifications, achievements and other important information)

Participation
Authors must be prepared to give presentations at approximately 20 minutes in person at the conference’s session in UNIMAS, Kota Samarahan, Sarawak.
