31 members have been granted provisional approval for the award of Practising Professional (PP) after their professional development records were examined and approved by the Professional Development Scheme (PDS) Board and endorsed by the LAS Council.
Of the 31 applications, 15 (48%) are submitted by NUS, 13 (42%) by NTU, and 3 (10%) from Singapore Polytechnic.
The application forms submitted by successful candidates are available for scrutiny below. Please note that reading logs and lists indicated by applicants are not displayed but have been certified in the examination process. Members may write to PDS Board Secretary, Ms Loh Hui Hong <huihong@tp.edu.sg> stating their name, LAS membership number and nature of their objection. The purpose of this scrutiny process is to ensure that the activity records submitted by applicants are true and valid (e.g. attendance at conferences, training workshop, visits, etc). The PDS Board will look into all submissions and take the necessary action. The decision of the PDS Board and Council shall be final.
If there are no objections on the validity of the records from LAS members within two weeks (i.e. until 30 September 2015), the award will be confirmed and the names of the PPs will be listed in the LAS Website for the validity periods, July 2015 to June 2017.
