I am a firm believer of how reading impacts everyone’s life and the importance of logical thinking. I am a lifetime weight looser as I love to eat and drink.

The President of LAS takes care of everything in the Association! Key objectives are to build a Strong and United library field in Singapore and promote the library profession.

A computer engineer by training, libraries was where I found my true purpose in life, my calling. I switched career in my 40’s and I am truly grateful to the beautiful experiences and people I have encountered as a result.

I serve as the Vice President of LAS. In my role, I have had the opportunity to work very closely with the President and the Committee Chairs as we explore various initiatives that allow people to develop professionally and personally within the Library profession.

Dr Sadie-Jane NUNIS-HUFF is the current Immediate Past President. She is the current Editor-in-Chief for the Singapore Journal of Library and Information Management (SJLIM), having served in this position from 2021. Her previous roles include being the Vice-President from 2019 to 2021, President from 2021 to 2023, as well as the previous LAS Awards Chair from 2019 to 2023.

I am a senior librarian from the National Library Board with more than 25 years’ experience, the last 10 years in the Special Libraries section.

My role as an Honorary Secretary is in charge of record keeping of the Council and ensuring that Council Meetings and Annual General Meetings are held and complied with according to the LAS Constitution and government regulations. I also assist in the correspondence of Council matters to LAS members.

I am a Senior Librarian with the National Library, Singapore and currently serve as the Honorary Treasurer of the Library Association of Singapore. I began my career in the public libraries before transitioning to the International Partnership team, and eventually landing in my current role that oversees the Singapore and Southeast Asia collections.

The Honorary Treasurer handles almost all money matters for LAS. I am responsible for managing the Association’s bank account and maintaining up-to-date, accurate financial records. The other tasks that I undertake include facilitating the audit process by providing the necessary documentation to the auditor and working with our accountant to ensure that the association adheres to the relevant tax regulations and filing requirements.
